“I tell my students, you do not enter the future – you create the future. The future is achieved through hard work.” ~ Jaime Escalante

For many – THIS is the one singular option that is available. It is not for everyone, as there may be family and/or other issues which would prevent this option – however – think back – at one point in time – our parents were teaching us at home – from the very beginning. In the early days of this nation – all of the teaching was done at home. If one has concerns for the future of their children – THIS is where you SHOULD be looking.
This will be the first of a number of Homeschooling videos for this day – and THIS one brings up some of the most important reasons for Homeschooling, which sets the ground for the balance of today’s videos.
We will also return to our regular scheduled postings, but we feel that it is MOST important to get parents and grandparents to begin looking in New Directions. ~ Ed.
I have home schooled my grandchildren now for 4 years. We are going into out 5th year. We pulled her out because we realized at the end of 4th grade she could not multiply or divide very well. She knew how to do it but when I asked her what 2×2 was it took her literally 5 minutes to figure it out. On top of that my daughter went in before Christmas break to make sure she was doing OK. Teacher told her she was doing great. After Christmas break report cards came out and she failed social studies.
Yeah, yeah – we know – school has already begun for the year – but we are reading of more and more examples of teachers spying on children at home through Zoom. It seems to make more sense to remove the children from the “system” and educate them at home.
“WHAT? But, just ho is going to do that? I mean, I have to work.” Well – it seems to me that you made another choice at one time in your life – to have and raise children… then WHY do you allow someone ELSE to raise that child?
Let’s get it done – and take this nation and our children back! ~ Ed.
The adherents of public schooling in this country have always had a messiah complex. They have always sought to make that educational institution (so called) that they adhere to and promote appear to be the sole method of improving the lot of mankind. No longer are we supposed to lean on the Holy Scriptures and the Gospel of Jesus Christ to show us the way to better the lives of people. We are supposed to now jettison that outmoded belief and replace it with the latest pronouncements of the public school educrats.
In his book Idols for Destruction, published way back in 1990, Herbert Schlossberg observed this messiah complex in the public education system. He stated: “From the time they began in the United States, the public schools have been intended to be a social force. Beginning with Horace Mann, they were supposed to promote the socialization of diverse peoples, end crime and poverty, and in general solve the political, economic, and social problems of the entire society. Muggeridge recalls that his father’s socialist vision included a society in which the population would be transformed through education.” Continue reading →
As long as so many children are at home due to the Plan-demic of the Century – let us make it fun and easier for them… and who knows – you may just find that your child will have a great time learning how to read, write and speak properly – ALL of which will make them better kids and adults as they grow up.
YUP – keep ’em out of these awful Indoctrination Centers. You will happy that you did – and someday – even they will understand – especially when they must interact with the children of Fred G. Sanford (DUMMIES!) ~ Ed.
A superb and easy to understand program. We strongly urge you to open this video directly on You Tube and study all of the comments and the tremendous support toward this much needed program for our children… for YOUR children. ~ Ed.
Due to the current circumstances, we’ve received more questions about homeschooling than ever before. Some schools are pushing back start dates and parents that are now working remotely are starting to consider alternatives to traditional school. Maybe not forever, but perhaps long enough to take a few long RV trips and expose their kids to new places that will also enhance their overall education. As a homeschooling father, I am no stranger to explaining our family’s choice to home educate our children:
“Yes, they have plenty of socialization with other children.”
“Yes, we teach all the subjects.”
“No, you can simply buy the curriculum and it tells you what to do.”
By now I have the answers memorized. You can imagine my cringing, then, when reading Harvard Law Professor Elizabeth Bartholet’s recent article in Arizona Law Review, calling for an outright ban on homeschool and the curtailment of private schools as well! Continue reading →
I was one of those “weird” homeschool kids. At least, “weird” seems to be what the all those cookie-cutter questions I received between kindergarten and 12th grade inferred. “Aren’t you afraid that you won’t be able to socialize with your peers?” or “Is it possible you are missing out on a ‘normal’ childhood?” were ones I heard regularly. Hate Crimes against White Students on the Rise (And this was in 2019)
A teacher for Hays CISD, south of Austin, Texas was arrested Friday afternoon after she beat the hell out of a 15-year-old girl in a classroom. Sadly, like most of these attacks, it will go unreported by the large corporate cable news networks because it doesn’t fit the agenda and it would be inconvenient to show what’s really going on in public schools throughout the United States.
The latest incident was caught on cell phone by students in the class, as CISD teacher Tiffani Shadell Lankford brutally attacked the girl.
Hate Crimes against White Students ignored & covered up by the Media and Public School Systems throughout the United States!
In schools throughout the United States, white students are being targeted in brutal hate crimes that go mostly unreported, and shockingly the terrorists thugs often go unpunished. In fact, schools throughout the United States have changed their disciplinary policies specifically to protect minority students from suspension and expulsion. Continue reading →
Working-class parents without college degrees aren’t capable of overseeing their own children’s education, according to comments State Sen. Jeanne Dietsch (D-Peterborough) made during a House Education Committee hearing on Tuesday.
Dietsch was speaking on behalf of a Senate bill that would repeal a law allowing the state Board of Education to create an alternative program for granting graduation credits, which became Learn Everywhere.
“This idea of parental choice, that’s great if the parent is well-educated. There are some families that’s perfect for. But to make it available to everyone? No. I think you’re asking for a huge amount of trouble,” Dietsch said. Continue reading →
With most public schools ending the school year in lockdown because of the coronavirus pandemic, Fox News reports that parents in several states want to homeschool now and perhaps in the future. But some school systems are resistant to that.
Schools in several states are telling parents they cannot withdraw their children from public schools to homeschool instead, but Home School Legal Defense Association (HSLDA) attorney T.J. Schmidt says they do not have a legal leg to stand on. Continue reading →

Our hope is that untold parents abandon government education post-pandemic…
While the nation squares off in conflicts between the left and the right about when the country should reopen, parents everywhere have been coping with what Kevin Carey of the New America think tank called “a vast unplanned experiment in mass homeschooling.”
For many parents (and students), this was uncharted territory as they grappled with online learning and zoom meetings, and a lot more parental involvement than ever before. Continue reading →
While some of America’s most demagogic politicians try to exploit the COVID-19 outbreak, some Americans are trying to make the most of their de facto state of house arrest.
Government-imposed lockdowns have resulted in the shutdown of a number of schools across the nation. During this period some schools have gone online, while others have closed up indefinitely. Society is conditioned to believe that children cannot possibly be able to receive an education under such circumstances. After all, education can only take place in a classroom, at least in the social planners’ view. Continue reading →
Homeschooling continues to be more interesting as these months go on. You should consider making it routine in your family. Yeah, yeah, yeah… I know – “But there are other obligations that I must return to.”
Yes – but the FIRST obligation a family has is to their children – so stop turning them over to someone else to raise! Teach, Learn and Grow together – as a family!
Secretary of State Mike Pompeo blasted critics of homeschooling and accused radical-left academics of imposing their values on American children.
Harvard Magazine, an independently edited magazine affiliated with Harvard University, recently published an article warning of the risks of homeschooling as part of their May/June edition. It quotes Elizzabeth Batholet, Wasserstein public interest professor of law and faculty director of the Law School’s Child Advocacy Program, in saying that homeschooling violates children’s rights to a “meaningful education” while also limiting them from contributing to a democratic society. Additionally, Bartholet argues that homeschool is inadequately unregulated across the U.S. and can isolate children from others. Continue reading →
