Category Archives: Village of the Damned

Something is terribly wrong with the Education ‘Village‘ of America – the complete breakdown of America’s government controlled education system through indoctrination and Socialism. Our children have become truly ‘damned‘ and will have little chance to truly succeed in this nation – UNLESS – the system can be overturned. Sorry Hillary, but the Village thing hasn’t worked so well – for the children of America. Welcome to the ‘Village‘ – where first we learn, and then we teach!

This category was so-named because of then First Lady, Hillary Clinton’s comment, “It takes a village to raise a child.” In addition to my feelings that our children are truly ‘damned‘ as long as this system is allowed to continue.

The ‘Village‘ is the place that I would not wish to be in today. I was privileged to participate in one of the last non-socialist school systems. Hell – I don’t know – maybe it had already begun, but I had great teachers. At 71 years of age – I can still picture and name over 90% of those whose care I was placed into. What we present here includes a range of commentary by a wide range of authors, which may well not fit into other designated categories. So here we provide, well – you know – “a little of this and a little of that!“

As the esteemed Dr. Rosemary Stein, M.D. has stated; The only way socialism has any chance in America is for the education system to push it in schools. Remember, the father of their modern education ‘Elite’ beliefs is John Dewey. Dewey was a communist, failed teacher who pushed what are now clearly failed education theories. Here is the quote of the day. “This militant crowd is comprised of uninformed and misinformed people looking at themselves as unfortunate, underpaid, underappreciated victims of capitalism, overwhelmed with jealousy that there are people who are everything they are not.”You are going to have to take ownership over the education of your children ~ Rosemary Stein, MD

In the words of Jaime Escalalante ~ “I tell my students, you do not enter the future – you create the future. The future is achieved through hard work.”

Let us guide our children towards creation – of the future. The time is past due for we the people to take back the responsibility of who raises and who teaches OUR children.. and with YOUR help, and the words of our contributors, we will do our best to bring your children to the world which they deserve to live in. ~ Jeffrey Bennett, Kettle Moraine Publications

Public Schools, the Fixation of Belief, and Social Control

Growing up, I was a quiet kid who kept to himself and loved to write, draw and found I was really good at playing music. No one ever taught me that I could continue doing these things at a university or that I could possibly make a living doing it.

Instead, I was taught to get a job, maybe with the local Hallmark factory, keep drawing, and maybe someone would notice me. It was years later that I realized what some of my options were but I had put up my pen and paper and chased after a good paying job. Continue reading

Woke teachers want Shakespeare cut from curriculum

‘This is about White supremacy’

The crown teachers once put on William Shakespeare now lies uneasy upon his head as the English playwright comes under assault from teachers who fault his unwoke attitudes regarding race, sexuality, gender and class. For the new breed of teachers, Shakespeare is seen less as an icon of literature and more as a tool of imperial oppression, an author who should be dissected in class or banished from the curriculum entirely. Parents hear warning: Quit letting public schools destroy your children

More and more parents want to rescue their children from poor academics and left-wing dogma in public school classrooms, and the time has come for churches to play a role in helping them do that, says a public education watchdog.

“You’re literally playing Russian roulette with your children,” Alex Newman, executive director of Public School Exit, warned the American Family Radio audience in a March 10 interview. Continue reading

Ten Headlines That Should Terrify Parents About K-12 Public Schooling

…apparently NOT!

Following the events in the U.S. Capitol on January 6th, many schools pushed out advice that talking about both sides was no longer an option. One guidance that circulated among educators was titled “There’s Nothing Virtuous About Finding Common Ground.” Translation of this document amounts to the fact that open debate, pros and cons lists, and anything else that exposes impressionable minds to anything other than prevailing orthodoxy is prohibited in many public schools. At least they’re finally admitting that the Common Core standard of critical thinking was really a euphemistic red herring for critical race theory instead.

Some states are pushing back; Iowa’s legislature recently proposed a law that would make it illegal, and punishable by fines, to teach anything related to Critical Race Theory, 1619 Project, etc. in its public schools. That’s a good start, but it isn’t enough. Parents need to speak up and more legislatures need to act. It is also encouraging that several states are pushing back on the Biden administration;’s transgender idiocy. Continue reading

Remote education is rife with threats to student privacy

Students are being forced to disclose sensitive information online. urbazon/Getty Images

An online “proctor” who can survey a student’s home and manipulate the mouse on their computer as the student takes an exam. A remote-learning platform that takes face scans and voiceprints of students. Virtual classrooms where strangers can pop up out of the blue and see who’s in class.

These three unnerving scenarios are not hypothetical. Rather, they stand as stark, real-life examples of how remote learning during the pandemic – both at the K-12 and college level – has become riddled with threats to students’ privacy. Continue reading

The Kids Aren’t All Right…

One year ago, Lena Carson was pulling straight A’s at the city’s Creative and Performing Arts Magnet school, located across the river from her parents’ home. She also swam at the local YMCA every day in preparation for the annual state competition and enjoyed the everyday social life of a teenager.

Today, she is sitting at home. Again.

It has been nearly a year since she was able to walk into CAPA, to which she had to earn admission through a portfolio of her work, and interact with her teachers or friends. Continue reading

What’s at Stake in the Fight Over Reopening Schools

A person holds up a sign that says “Masks are disposable. Teachers aren’t!”

Just remember – neither should our children be!

As tens of thousands of Americans continue to die of covid-19, a new debate has emerged over whether public-school students, their teachers, and all of the staff necessary to make schools function should return to school buildings. In the United States, forty-two per cent of students are exclusively attending “virtual” school, thirty-five per cent are attending in-person school, and twenty-two per cent have a combination of in-person and remote learning. But there is mounting pressure from elected officials and some—mostly white—parents to jettison remote learning and fully resume in-person schooling. Continue reading

School Pushing Propaganda On Elementary School Students To Further Divide Country

An elementary school in Cupertino, California is asking students to rank themselves, literally by “power and privilege.”

The rankings include white, Christian, middle-class, cisgender, and more. Students were asked to “deconstruct” their identities in regards to race, family income, and yes, even sexuality.

Several families brought issues with this project to the school’s principal. Parents felt that their children were being taught racism and made to feel separated instead of unified by empowerment through education. Continue reading

Erasing classic literature for kids

When I was a boy about 11, I committed a crime that changed my life.

I stole a book. I was a book thief.

I found it in another kid’s desk and began reading, hiding it behind some boring textbook, and couldn’t give it up…

And when the last bell rang, I hid it furtively under my jacket as if it were some rare, precious and struggling bird, and walked home.

It’s still with me. I’ll never give it up. Continue reading

Why Public Schools and the Mainstream Media Dumb Us Down

In this video we examine how public schools and the mainstream media have contributed to the growth of a passive citizenry, thus paving the way for the rise of tyranny. We then look at the role anti-authoritarians play in a free and flourishing society.

Proud Progressive Book Banners

Leftist speech suppression isn’t happening just in social media but in K-12 education.

What does one do when one’s worldview is simultaneously vacuous and intellectually bankrupt? In today’s America, one eliminates anything that challenges it. Thus, under the banner of #DisruptTexts, radical leftists masquerading as school teachers are endeavoring to remove classic literature from school syllabuses, lest their students get exposed to ideas deemed off-limits by America’s wannabe totalitarians. Here’s How Your Children Are Getting Indoctrinated by Leftist Ideology

Assessment from a Former Teacher.

Your children are being indoctrinated. The education system designed to teach them how to think critically has been weaponized by the radical left to push an anti-American agenda. As someone who has worked in education for four years, I have seen firsthand how your children are being ensnared by the left and their teachers. Continue reading
