The Government School System and John Dewey
Part I ~ Comrade Dewey and Cultural Genocide

John Dewey
Cultural genocide, the planned and willful destruction of a culture (in this case a Christian culture), is accomplished in many ways. The orchestrated destruction of a culture is accomplished by the tearing down of the flags and symbols of that culture and the destruction of its historical monuments and the replacing of its names with others of a more socialist intent.
It is also accomplished by the mid-education and intentional dumbing down of the children of that culture so they know less than their grandfathers about their history, heritage, faith, or anything for that matter. This is often done via institutions of “learning” that are subtly used to, in effect, make children dumber than they would be otherwise, while taxing their parents to pay for the intentional ignorance. Choice, Charter Schools and the Disappearing American Dream
Part I: How the “CHOICE” Fix Won’t Fix Common Core
Is There Such A Thing As A Parallel School System? Looking at the plans puzzling together for a Trump Presidency, education is front and foremost on many parents’ minds. Parent warriors have become concerned to the point of being totally stressed over the appointment of billionaire Betsy DeVos for Secretary of Education. Why is this?
President-Elect Trump promised a vision of life without Common Core —
• A day of looking forward to our kids not being manipulated with the behavioral conditioning processes of teacher-trained Skinnerian techniques;
• A day without government data mining our children and inputting their private behavioral data over to the Feds.
Is our battle over yet? Can we rest assured that Donald Trump will keep his promise to rid our schools of all of the Common Core baggage? Are solid academics on the horizon, again? Continue reading
Suburban Chicago School Teaches ‘Blackenomics,’ ‘Trans-Rights,’ and ‘White Genocide Against Blacks’
A suburban Chicago high school is taking the Obama education agenda all the way with new classes and seminars that teach kids that whites are committing “genocide” against blacks, that America is violating the “rights” of transgender Americans, that whites are suppressing the voting rights of blacks, and a long list of other far-left activist ideas.
New Trier Township High School is one of the Chicago area’s premier high schools in the tony suburb of Winnetka, a lake shore town north of Chicago. But, along with teaching math, science, English, and history, the school is launching into a major left-wing indoctrination project based on Obama’s agenda of liberal activism.
An exposé of the agenda by the Illinois Family Institute shows that “progressivism” is coming fast and furious at New Trier’s kids.
The list of classes and speakers for this new series is being called “a rather bold and raw effort at hard-left propaganda with decidedly anti-American, anti-free-market, anti-family, anti-parent, and bigoted biases on display.” Continue reading
The Family Unit Has to Be Destroyed
It’s Christmas morning and all through the house, not a sound can be heard, not even a mouse. The kids are all grown up, and at the same time the number of those who belong to the family has grown and now the worries have multiplied ten-fold and leave us to moan occasionally.
I have often referred to myself as “blessed” but then again at times I feel I have been “favored”. I know that must sound prideful, but when I look at my family of children I can’t think of a better word.
This family was raised under the umbrella of God knowing he was an important part of our family. Did we always go to church – NO, but then we were a military family for years, always somewhere new and a new church didn’t always feel that comfortable or you just hurt after making more new friends and having to say good-bye again. Sometimes it was just easier to minister at home through actions and words. Continue reading
Parents: School Sex-Ed Program an Open Door to Porn
‘You could kiss, touch, bite, fondle, nibble, squeeze’ and more
The parents of a Colorado middle school student are charging that the district’s sex-ed program allows students to access pornographic content and images from an educational company’s website while blocking parents from examining the objectionable material.
The parents have enlisted the help of an activist group in Massachusetts to address their concerns.
The district calls the claim nonsense, citing the opinion of the controversial Southern Poverty Law Center, which slams the activist organization, MassResistance, as an “anti-gay hate group.” It’s the same SPLC that called Dr. Ben Carson a “hater” for his views on traditional marriage. SPLC also was linked to domestic terror several years ago when a man convicted of attempted mass murder confessed he used the organization’s list of ‘anti-gay hate groups’ to pick a target, the Family Research Council. Public Schools Work For Bureaucrats – Not For Kids!
On January 16th I read an article by James Ostrowski about public schools in Buffalo, New York and why they are not making the grade (no pun intended).
Mr. Ostrowski is a trial and appellate lawyer in Buffalo, New York and also the author of a book called Progressivism: A Primer on the Idea Destroying America. He also has a website. I have not had a chance to read his book here mentioned, but it sounds like it would be a good one.
Mr. Ostrowski, in the Lew Rockwell article, commented on the public schools in Buffalo, New York, and you can, by extention, multiply his commentary on public education in Buffalo because it would also apply to most other cities and towns across the country. The problems he discussed are not unique to this one city, but rather reflect the general trend nationwide. Continue reading
Benson: The Dumb-Dumb Factory
The situation with what we charitably call “public education” continues to get more and more bizarre, and more folks are beginning to ask the question: “Is what my kids are getting in public school really education?” Well, no, it’s not. It’s not even close.
I talked to a friend recently that has his two youngest kids in public school in the town he lives in. They are in the 5th and 6th grades. I asked him about the books the kids brought home for homework. He told me they didn’t bring the books home from school hardly ever. What they did bring home for homework was worksheet type material, but rarely a book. He has no clue to the content of 95% of the books his kids use. I asked him “What does that tell you?” His reply came quickly, “They don’t want parents to see the books.” How right he is. They don’t. In his case, he is the kind of father, who, if he saw something off key in one of his kid’s textbooks he would go to the school and ask questions and he would expect real answers, not progressive platitudes. She Corrected A Student’s Spelling. Then The School Fired Her
FREDERICK, Md. — A school employee in Maryland apparently was fired after correcting a student’s spelling on Twitter.
Katie Nash lost her job as “web experience coordinator” at the Frederick County Public Schools after telling a student how to spell “tomorrow,” The Frederick Post-News reported.
On Jan. 5 and with bad weather threatening, a student directed a Tweet at the school system that read, “close school tamarrow PLEASE.”
Nash, who ran the school Twitter account, responded, “But then how would you learn how to spell ‘tomorrow?’ :)”
Even though the unidentified student did not mind the response, Nash’s superiors told her not to send out more Tweets. But she kept Tweeting calendar updates. Continue reading
Liberals Don’t Teach U.S. History, they Re-Write it!
It has long been a practice of communist countries to erase their history and then replace the history with a new version that glorifies their regime. The Soviet Union (Russia 1917-1993), China and North Korea are three glaring examples. Their socialist followers who are scattered throughout our education system and academia have been tampering and revising our history for decades. These are the same bubble headed educators that have created the snow flake and buttercup movement found on many of our college and university campuses. The old maxim states that if you do not know your own history, you will repeat the mistakes of the past.

Pulpits, Prisons, and Public Schools
Let’s start with a very simple, basic fact:
If the State is allowed to “educate” children, most of those children will – by design – become more inclined toward a State-centered worldview.
While some children passing though this system may, by the grace of God, be preserved from such transformation through this process, most will not.
And that’s good enough for the State.
Most is enough. Continue reading
UN unveils plan to control content of US school textbooks
The United Nations is launching a new initiative to promote “sustainable development, including gender equality and human rights” by controlling the content of school textbooks.
Under the plan, announced in December 2016 in “Policy Paper 28,” the UN is ordering all governments to review the contents of their school textbooks, and eliminate the use of books that do not teach globalist values.
Their goal is to force local schools to ensure “global citizenship education and education for sustainable development, including gender equality and human rights, are mainstreamed in national education policies, curricula, teacher education and student assessments,” the paper reveals. A Painful Lesson Virginia Learned When Gov’t Took Over Textbook Writing
Educators in Virginia back in the 50’s and 60’s should remember well that we had an example of Common Core enforced by the state for fifteen years. It was an example of what happens when government takes over the writing of history and government textbooks. The story is one I was involved in and should be a warning against letting he Federal Government take control of curriculum in local school systems. Continue reading
Textbooks: Evidence of a Second-Rate Homeschool Education
The typical homeschool mom has been told this: “Beware of online education. Computers are bad!”
This is the sales pitch of homeschool curriculum producers that did not see what the Khan Academy would do to education. They do not know how to respond. They have “bet the farm” on Gutenberg, not video-based education. They are going to lose this bet.
So are the children of the mothers who stick with textbooks.
Homeschool moms are as blind to what makes for advanced education as are the members of the public school teachers’ union. They also use textbooks. Continue reading
Methodist Pastor Teams Up with Atheist Group to Sue Arizona School for Teaching US History
Many have argued that our Founding Fathers were religious or, rather, Christian. I think that this is a hard case to make. Many of the Founders were known carousers and had several illegitimate children. Besides that, there is the issue of many of the Founders’ words concerning Christianity.
But there is the undeniable fact of their education. It was thoroughgoing and intentionally Christian. They learned their letters through a primer that contained characters from Scriptures to help them remember. And this presents a problem for the left in general and the atheist in particular… Continue reading
The Theology of the Public School System
The late theologian and author, R. J. Rushdoony noted in his book “The Philosophy of the Christian Curriculum” that: “The function of education is thus to school persons in the ultimate values of a culture. This is inescapably a religious task. Education has always been a religious function of society and closely linked to its religion.” Rushdoony has thus told us that education finds its foundation in religion. Therefore, all education, whether its promoters will admit it or even realize it, is theological in nature. Men educate according to their beliefs, their theologies, if you will.
Awhile back Lawrence M. Ludlow wrote an article which called “State-Run Schools: The New Caesaropapism.” This term means basically a state-controlled religion. Mr. Ludlow wrote that: “In many ways, today’s state-controlled schools have replaced caesaropapism–or state-controlled religion–as a means by which rulers enforce their hegemony over citizen-subjects.” Ludlow briefly tells us how government schools came to dominate the American scene after 1850 and how they “helped to transform Americans into the passive and obedient beings they have become.” Continue reading
The New Preschool Is Crushing Kids
Today’s young children are working more, but they’re learning less.
Step into an American preschool classroom today and you are likely to be bombarded with what we educators call a print-rich environment, every surface festooned with alphabet charts, bar graphs, word walls, instructional posters, classroom rules, calendars, schedules, and motivational platitudes—few of which a 4-year-old can “decode,” the contemporary word for what used to be known as reading. REDUX: A Tool For America’s Transformation
Common Core State Standards (CCSS), initially approved in 2009 by all fifty state governors at the National Governors Association, currently represents one of the most severe threats to our domestic tranquility, individual liberty, and national security that the United States has seen in decades, as a new age of collectivism and the Progressive plan of 1934 emerge together at the direction of the Obama administration. This threat exists in Obama’s recognition of Common Core as an efficient tool for indoctrinating our children into the Progressive Marxo-fascist worldview, creating a convergence of communism and capitalism that amounts to crony capitalism and fascism here in the United States. And in so doing, these elitist Progressives plan a new, and yet old, approach to government, in order to create a seamless web that extends from cradle to grave. Continue reading
Education That You Know Is Sick
A headline at the Daily Caller complains: “Principals say Common Core tests make little kids vomit, pee their pants.”
Top comedian Louis C.K. shook the educational world with this tweet: “My kids used to love math. Now it makes them cry.” Louis C.K. blamed Common Core.
Twitchy.com ran this headline:: “What is Common Core doing to America’s children? Mom shares heartrending photo.” Continue reading
A tenured professor tells the truth about academia on his way out the door
Higher education is a vast industry about to face years a crisis. Like housing, it has expanded based on unsustainable debt. And like the American auto industry, it got fat, lazy, inward-focused, and expensive during its decades of monopoly on certification of higher end new labor force entrants. Now, with the growth of digital versions of higher education, it faces a competitor/industry entrant that has lower costs and high quality (at least potentially).
After decades of raising tuition at about three times the rate of inflation, the higher education bubble looks to be popping. Continue reading
